At the tactical level, Russian troops can surround the Ukrainian army. But this is hampered by at least two important factors. This was stated on TSN by military expert Valentin Badrak.

According to him, first, Russia has suffered heavy losses among the top military leadership. Twenty high-ranking officers have already been killed. So there is not only moral disorientation but also tactical. And the second factor that is a positive factor for Ukrainians is that even the elite Russian troops suffer heavy casualties.

The number of groups makes it impossible to surround the Ukrainian military. The expert notes that even from the very beginning of the war, the number of troops was not enough to attack. Russia has underestimated the number of forces and resources in Ukraine.

He suggests that Putin may have been deliberately misinformed and promised victory to frame and remove him from the leadership.

At the same time, Badrak notes that the Ukrainian military in the Zhytomyr and Gostomel areas have received positions that allow them to take the Russian occupiers into the ring.
