Ukrainian Design and Innovation Week will be held in Kyiv from April 1st to 7th. This event is organized for the second time under the auspices of the global network World Design Weeks, which unites design weeks in more than 40 cities worldwide.
The goal of Ukrainian Design Week is to unite the professional design community, introduce design to a wide audience, and create a "face of contemporary design in Ukraine."
The organizers describe Ukrainian Design Week as the "largest multidisciplinary festival" in Ukraine, combining various design disciplines such as industrial, graphic, interior design, architecture, urban planning, art, and fashion. Both professionals and young designers can participate in the festival, according to the organizers.
Events during Ukrainian Design Week will include showrooms, coworking spaces, workshops, educational institutions throughout Kyiv, targeting both the design community and the general public. The program will feature over 70 masterclasses, workshops, presentations, tours, lectures, and shows, including activities for children. Ukrainian and European designers will be announced as speakers soon.
The main event of the festival is the Market of Contemporary Ukrainian Design, which will take place at the Mystetskyi Arsenal on April 6th, bringing together experts from various design fields. During the market, attendees can explore design-related areas such as floristry, bookstores, galleries, pottery, and purchase handmade decor, jewelry, candles, pottery, and designer tableware.
