As a result of the combat operations, the Airborne Assault Troops destroyed 18 Shahed-type UAVs and one guided aviation missile X-59 on the night of December 1.
This information is reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The adversary attacked with strike UAVs of the Shahed type from two directions: Cape Chauda—occupied Crimea and Prymorsko-Akhtarsk—Russian Federation. The occupiers also launched guided aviation missiles from the airspace of temporarily occupied Kherson region.
In total, the enemy used two Kh-59 cruise missiles and 25 Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs. The main direction of the attack was the south and east of the country.
"Anti-aircraft missile units and mobile fire groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the air attack. As a result of the combat operations, 18 strike UAVs and one guided aviation missile X-59 were destroyed. The air defense worked in Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporizhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions," according to the statement.
