Due to a nighttime enemy attack on the port infrastructure of Odessa region on the night of October 6th, the ferry border crossing point 'Orlivka' on the border with Romania has temporarily suspended its operations. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service.
"As a result of the enemy's nighttime drone attack on the port and border infrastructure at the 'Orlivka' ferry border crossing point on the border with Romania, measures are being taken to stabilize its functioning... Border crossing operations at the crossing point are temporarily suspended," the statement said.
It was noted that no one was injured in the nighttime attack.
State Border Guard Service advised citizens to choose alternative routes, particularly through the road border crossing point 'Reni.'
It should be noted that on the night of September 26th, Russians had already fired at the ferry crossing, causing the 'Orlivka' crossing point to temporarily cease operations. It was reported that the administrative building of the crossing point survived, but the blast wave shattered windows. At the time of the attack, there was a bus with children at the crossing point, which was evacuated in time. Additionally, about thirty trucks were damaged, and drivers of one of the buses were also affected.
