On July 14, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Mykola Solskyi, as part of a working visit to Lviv, met with the Ambassador of Brazil to Ukraine, Norton de Andrade Mello Rapesta.
During the meeting, Mr. Ambassador expressed his support for the government of Ukraine, and also emphasized that the government of Brazil shares Ukraine's position on the grain issue and is ready for further cooperation in this area, providing our country with the necessary assistance.
Separately, he emphasized that Ukraine and Brazil have had very close ties for more than 130 years, and his country is interested in additional strengthening of cooperation and contributing to the future economic development of Ukraine.
Minister Mykola Solsky initiated the creation of the Council of Grain Producers and Exporters and the organization conferences dedicated to issues of development and exchange of experience and technologies of agricultural industry.
The result of the meeting will be further discussion between the USA, Canada, Australia, and Brazil on the format of joint activities to form a unified position on the export of oil and grain crops, as well as the exchange of experience in areas like horticulture, livestock, and others.
The Brazilian ambassador expressed his willingness to promote such cooperation at all levels to deepen the close historical connection between our states.
