Ukraine begins exporting technologies abroad for weapons production in Europe.
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this during a meeting with journalists.
Technologies will be exported under the Build with Ukraine program. Zelensky expects to sign agreements this summer to start exports by opening production lines in European countries.
Exports may also expand to partner countries outside Europe that fund drone production or are beginning to finance missile production in Ukraine.
“We will provide the relevant technologies and produce weapons in their countries for us and for them: various types of drones, missiles, and possibly artillery. Agreements are already in place. During the war, we plan to supply all this to the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” Zelensky said.
This year, Ukraine managed to secure $43 billion to finance its defense industry, the President emphasized. Next year, Ukraine aims to reach an agreement for partner states to allocate 0.25% of their GDP to domestic defense production in Ukraine.
