Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strikes are destroying Russian logistics near Dobropillia, causing the Russians to start losing positions there.

Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Dnipro operational-strategic group of forces, said this on television in response to a question about details of the counteroffensive operation in the Dobropillia area.

“They were infiltrating in small groups through the first line of Ukrainian defense, and beyond it they were combining these small groups into a larger one, occupying tree lines and trying to push forward. Then they tried to reinforce what they had already seized and bring in reinforcements. At some point this stopped working — thanks to effective countermeasures we began striking them, which started destroying their logistics, and they began gradually losing positions. This continues to this day,” he said.

Trehubov noted that the Russians “have overextended their troops along the front line” and currently cannot provide supplies in sufficient quantities.

According to the spokesperson, the Russians attempted to send reinforcements, but these efforts proved unsuccessful.

“They basically have to advance through a ‘bottleneck,’ which is very inconvenient for them. That’s exactly where they failed: the corridor they left for themselves turned out to be too narrow. And when they try to bring equipment there or organize supply, they get hit from both sides,” he added.
