In Moldova, Russian decoy plywood drones were found to contain components from China, Taiwan, the USA, and Switzerland. This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine's Ministry of Defense.
According to Main Intelligence Directorate, over 2,000 drones were used by Russia against Ukraine in October. About half of them were decoys or false targets, which Russia uses to divert attention and overload Ukrainian air defense systems.
The 'Parody' is one of the main decoy drones used by the invaders in aerial attacks. On November 10, two such drones fell on Moldovan territory.
These UAVs do not have a warhead. They are much smaller and cheaper than Shahed-13 and Geran-2 drones, but they mimic them radar-wise using a Luneberg lens.
Research on the Russian 'Parody' drones revealed that even the primitive "plywood" drones cannot be independently manufactured by Russia.
The flight controller module of the 'Parody' contains components made by companies from China (Ebyte, Jiashan Jinchang Electron, Yangzhou Yangjie Electronic Technology), the USA (Texas Instruments, Cypress Semiconductor, InvenSense), Switzerland (STMicroelectronics), and Taiwan (SONiX Technology).
