Everyone needs friends. But there are people who find it very difficult to make friends, as well as to find their place in this life. These are people with autism. In fact, they want to be friends and be in the team, but do not know how to do it. Because of what suffer greatly from loneliness and unclaimed.
Therefore, the âInclusive Workshops. Everyone is importantâ was opened - a place where everyone can find a job to their liking.
To be among people and to feel needed
Inclusive Workshops is a creative space open to all, consisting of 4 workshops (ceramic, printing, sewing and creative), as well as a lecture hall and a club for communication. It creates a supportive environment in which a person with autism can communicate, learn new things and work on an equal basis with everyone. And not to sit all your life at home or in a boarding school, as it was before.
To be among people and to feel needed - everyone strives for this. And this is precisely the task that the workshop project solves.
The project is now underway. From the collected and attracted funds, rent was paid, major repairs were made, and equipment and consumables were purchased for the first time.
Now is the time to set up all the workflows. Basically, this is teaching people with autism the skills of communicating with each other and working in workshops. It usually takes a lot longer for people with autism to learn something. But having learned, they become real professionals in their field. Very attentive and pedantic.
The workshops can simultaneously train from 10 to 15 people. To provide each of them with the opportunity to study and work in the future, it is necessary to pay rent, utilities, services of craftsmen, purchase food and raw materials for work.
In the "Inclusive Workshops. Everyone is important", they give people with autism the opportunity to work, communicate and generally feel like ordinary people.
On the open day we will know more about the project, and you will have the opportunity to take part in ceramic, sewing, art and creative workshops. Registration is required.
