In Davos, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky participated in a panel session of the International Advisory Council for Ukraine's Recovery, attended by representatives of international businesses, financial institutions, and energy companies.

The President expressed his gratitude for the attention and support for Ukraine, which is especially important now, as Russia’s attacks aim to destroy both people and cities through cold. He emphasized that everything must now work to strengthen Ukraine’s resilience and the power of its people.

“We need to be realistic and implement concrete measures that people can feel right now. We will work productively with everyone who stands with Ukraine,” said Volodymyr Zelensky.

One of the main topics discussed was how to support the energy sector in overcoming challenges caused by Russian strikes. The meeting also covered increasing investment in projects in Ukraine once a just peace is achieved. Zelensky stressed that this will be possible as soon as Ukraine receives reliable security guarantees.

“Regarding security guarantees for our people: this is very important. But it is also necessary for investment and business. It is for everyone. And that’s good. We are now at a moment when we understand—and Europeans and Americans understand—that we all need security guarantees, first from the United States, then from Europe. I hope we will be able to complete the reconstruction and prosperity package that our teams are currently working on,” said the President.

The meeting also discussed business operations in Ukraine under full-scale war conditions. The President noted that despite the war, domestic businesses continue to operate and grow, implementing modern technologies and innovations.

Participants included European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Koss, European Commissioner for Economy Valdis Dombrovskis, World Bank President Ajay Banga, UNDP Administrator Alexander De Croo, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, as well as founders and executives of companies such as Fortescue (Australia), Vestas (Denmark), Schneider Electric (France), Siemens Energy (Germany), TenneT (Netherlands), Equinor (Norway), Sonae (Portugal), Vattenfall (Sweden), ABB (Switzerland), Koç Holding (Turkey), Bank of America (UK), Arup Group (UK), Henry Schein (USA), AES (USA), Bunge Global (USA), Citi (USA), and Goldman Sachs.
