On the night of 26 October, Ukrainian drones launched a large-scale attack on Voronezh, Russia. The strikes reportedly caused fires at several industrial facilities, an office building in the city centre, an apartment building, a school stadium and a garage complex.
According to information published by the Ukrainian monitoring channel Supernova+, one of the targets was the Voronezh Aircraft Production Association (VASO), a major aircraft manufacturing enterprise that forms part of Russia's United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) and operates as a branch of the Ilyushin Aviation Complex (Il).
VASO is of strategic importance to Russia's aviation industry.
The Northern Bridge, which connects Voronezh's Central and Zheleznodorozhny districts, was also reportedly targeted.
Previously, on 23 October, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out strikes on Voronezh, with drones targeting the Baltimore military airfield.
