Power outages have started in several Ukrainian cities due to a massive Russian attack occurring on the morning of Monday, August 26.

Specifically, reports of power outages are coming from Kyiv, Kryvyi Rih, Khmelnytskyi, Odessa, and other cities.

Kyiv
Kyiv's Mayor, Vitali Klitschko, reported that several districts in the capital are experiencing power outages.

"In several districts of the capital, there are interruptions in power supply. According to experts, this is related to issues in the national energy grid," he wrote on Telegram.

Meanwhile, the CEO of Yasno, Serhiy Kovalenko, stated that Kyiv and Dnipro are facing attacks on their energy systems, causing power outages.

"The exact cause will be determined after the alert ends. Stay safe," he added, noting that emergency power outages have been implemented in Kyiv.

Odessa
In Odessa, power outages are also being observed due to the shelling. As a result of the blackout, electric public transport in the city has been temporarily suspended.

Brovary
Due to Russian shelling, Brovary is also without power. The city's mayor, Ihor Sapozhko, urged residents to remain calm.

"In some neighborhoods of Brovary, power is temporarily out. The reasons are being clarified," he reported.

Mykolaiv
Emergency power outage schedules have been introduced in Mykolaiv due to the massive attack.

"We received instructions from Ukrenergo to implement emergency outage schedules! We are cutting off all queues now," reported the regional power company.

Kryvyi Rih
In Kryvyi Rih, power outages began following explosions. According to the management companies of apartment buildings, an emergency blackout occurred on the networks. Parts of the Dovhyntsivskyi and Saksahanskyi districts are without power.

Additionally, DTEK reported that emergency power outages are being introduced in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Khmelnytskyi
Several districts in Khmelnytskyi have also lost power, though local authorities have not yet provided detailed information.

On the morning of August 26, Russian forces launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine using strike drones and cruise missiles.
