The Ukrainian ecosystem of product IT companies, Genesis, is opening an office in Lviv. As the products within the ecosystem continue to grow, the teams plan to actively hire specialists locally.
"We see significant potential for developing product teams in Lviv, as there is a strong IT community here and powerful specialized universities. Opening this office will bring us closer to local experts and foster the development of product IT," says Volodymyr Mnoholietniy, co-founder and CEO of Genesis.
According to dev.ua, around 100 people will work in the new office, with plans to increase the number of employees. The office will also feature a lecture hall for educational events organized by the company.
Currently, teams from companies such as OBRIO (Nebula), Promova, Boosters, HOLYWATER, EverHelp, Lift, VP 6037, talentC, and Genesis Head Office are already working in the office. These teams will continue to hire local specialists for their offices in Lviv.
"Over the three years of the war, Lviv has become one of the centers of Ukrainian IT. We aim to strengthen our connection with the local professional community and expand our educational programs so more people can learn about opportunities to work on IT products," says Oleksii Nishchik, Chief Growth Officer.
In March, Genesis will organize an Analytics Hackathon in Lviv as another step in strengthening the collaboration between the company and the local IT ecosystem.
Before the office launch, Genesis had already collaborated with higher education institutions in Lviv, including the Ukrainian Catholic University, where the partnership covers joint educational projects and courses, as well as with lecturers from Lviv National University and Lviv Polytechnic University for academic programs.
Since 2022, Genesis has been a member of the Lviv IT Cluster.
