In the village of Bilenke in Zaporizhzhia district, the Miklashevsky manor—a historical and architectural monument—has been destroyed as a result of Russian shelling.

This was reported by historian Hanna Holovko, head of the press service of the National Reserve Khortytsia.

“The Mykhailo Miklashevsky manor—a representative of an old Ukrainian Cossack officer family—was not just an architectural and historical monument. It was the only manor in the Zaporizhzhia region preserved to such a high degree. It survived numerous historical upheavals over more than a century and a half of its existence and had already been damaged several times during the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war. Today, we have likely lost it forever,” she wrote.

The building was constructed between 1853 and 1916. It contained original wooden décor, spiral metal staircases, verandas, and unique interior elements. The premises once housed an educational institution.
