In Berdyansk, on the morning of February 20, a car exploded. Inside it was the "deputy head" of the city's occupation administration, who was eliminated.

This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate on Telegram.

According to intelligence data, the Renault Duster exploded at 06:05 near building 96 on East Avenue in occupied Berdyansk. The car was burned to the ground, and Russian services arrived at the scene.

"Inside the car was the military criminal Bohdanov Yevhen Yuriyovych – a citizen of the aggressor state Russia, who formally held the position of the so-called deputy head of the occupation administration of Berdyansk," the Main Intelligence Directorate report says.

His duties included, among other things, overseeing finances in the occupation administration and organizing the construction of fortifications in the temporarily occupied areas of Zaporizhzhia region.

The Main Intelligence Directorate clarified that Bohdanov had repeatedly committed war crimes against Ukrainian citizens.

He was born in 1970 in Pikalovo, Leningrad region. He arrived in Berdyansk immediately after the Russians occupied it in 2022.

Bohdanov was appointed to the occupation administration by the Russian intelligence services.
