French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin has requested prefects throughout the country to enhance security for Jewish communities and has announced the convening of a meeting to assess the situation. He added that there are currently no threats to the security of the French Ministry of the Interior.
In Berlin, the police have announced that they have increased security measures at Jewish and Israeli institutions following the Hamas attack on Israel. The Central Council of Jews in Germany stated that they are in "intensive contact" with the authorities.
Similar security measures for Jewish communities have also been adopted in Spain and Italy.
