Advisor to the chairman of the Kherson regional military administration, deputy of the Kherson regional council Sergei Khlan said that the occupying forces want to use the property of Kherson residents who left the city to resettle mainly Russian FSB officers.
This is reported by the Radio Liberty project "News of the Azov Region".
"Today, the families of the FSB officers, mostly FSB officers, and not the military, settled in the center of Kherson - in the Optima Hotel. Now the FSB officers are actively working with the chairmen of condominiums just to monitor free apartments so that they can move into apartments because the hotel is a hotel, and they want to move to more comfortable conditions. Therefore, they are now finding out which apartments are free, who left completely, and how long people have not appeared. And they are starting to move to these apartments from the hotel," Hlan said.
According to him, there are cases when local residents are forced to return to their homes, despite the occupation, but there are more of those who leave the occupied Kherson region.
Russian troops began to attack Kherson on March 1. Since then, the city has been under occupation.
