In Kyiv, 34 people have tragically lost their lives as a result of a Russian attack that occurred on July 8th. According to press service of the Kyiv City Military Administration,
"As of 09:00 following the missile strike on July 8, 2024, in Kyiv, 34 people have already been reported dead."

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has reported that emergency rescue operations in the capital have concluded following the extensive rocket attack on July 8th.
"Unfortunately, as a result of enemy shelling of civilian infrastructure in the city, 34 people have died, including 5 children," he stated.
Specifically, casualties occurred at various locations: 2 individuals at the Okhmatdyt hospital, 14 people, including 5 children, at a residential building on Volodymyra Salskoho Street, 7 individuals at the Dominion business center, and 9 at the Adonis clinic. Additionally, two persons lost their lives near the Lukianivska metro station.
Furthermore, 121 individuals, including 10 children, were injured as a result of the shelling.
Rescue operations managed to save 10 people, including 3 children.
On July 8, 2024, Russian forces launched another missile strike on Ukrainian territory. One of the missiles hit the Okhmatdyt children's hospital in Kyiv, causing significant damage that necessitated the evacuation of patients. During the Russian attack on Okhmatdyt, two substations were destroyed. These substations powered the entire medical facility.
Against this backdrop, Germany has expressed readiness to accept Ukrainian children who were hospitalized at Okhmatdyt for treatment. Slovakia also intends to provide medical care for some of the children who were patients at Okhmatdyt.
Additionally, in the Shevchenkivskyi district, a residential building was also struck, resulting in the destruction of an entire section of the building.
