In May, Ukraine exported the largest volume of poultry meat in the past five years, according to the Ukrainian Poultry Union, citing customs data.

Poultry meat exports in May amounted to 43,635 tonnes, which is 7% more compared to April (40,700 tonnes).

The Union noted that this is a record monthly export volume over the past five years. In monetary terms, exports in May increased by 10.7% to $93.6 million.

The average export price of poultry meat in May rose to $2.15, which is linked to changes in the product mix being exported.

Over the first five months of the year, Ukraine exported 207,100 tonnes of poultry meat, which is 6.1% more than in the same period last year. However, export revenue fell by 4.3% to $437.1 million.

In 2026, the main importers of Ukrainian poultry meat were the Netherlands (17.9%), the United Kingdom (11.8%), Slovakia (10.2%), and the UAE (6.9%).

Exports of processed poultry meat products over five months totaled 7,200 tonnes, worth $24.4 million.

The Ministry of Economy reported that Ukraine increased foreign currency earnings from agricultural exports in the first quarter thanks to processing. In the first three months of the year, the country exported 15.5 million tonnes of agricultural products worth $6.3 billion, with agricultural goods accounting for 62% of total exports.
