The book "1,000,000 bombs BEFORE" unfolds Ukraine's atlas before us until the morning of February 24, 2022.
For five consecutive years, Vlad Vasilykevych collected the visual history of Ukraine. In this book, you will see our country through the lens of his camera. You will see it, and fall in love with it all over again.
In the East, there are the snow-white chalk rocks of Bilokuzminivka, Oleksiyiv Fort, and Kytsev Monastery, the undulating lines of the Siverskyi Donets. In the North, there are enchanting ravines, swift rivers Uzh and Desna, and the creations of human talent - stone palaces and citadels in Baturyn. Magnificent Kyiv. Moving further into the Center, there's the picturesque and legendary Bakota, mills, and islands, flourishing estates. In the South, there are the salt lakes of Kherson region, the lighthouses of Bessarabia, and the protected sands of Kinburn. Then the West, with its ancient spruce trees, sky-piercing mountains, blue lakes, roof-ridge houses, velvet pastures, and the colorful carpet of wildflowers.
The photographs in this book remind us of the beauty of our native land. They speak to every heart, enchant us, and inspire us not to stop, not to give up, and not to lose hope. So that one day, there will be Victory. And after that, a great Ukrainian Renaissance. From homes to factories, from rivers to forests, from museums to fields.
Then, Vlad Vasilykevych will pick up his camera again and take new pictures.
