A ceremony was recently held to transfer 1,000 Ukrainian books to the Royal Library of Denmark as part of the charity project “Ukrainian Books for Ukrainian Children.” The event was attended by Yurii Romanchuk, Acting Chargé d'Affaires of Ukraine in Denmark.
This donation marks the second batch of Ukrainian books sent to the library since 2023. Some of these books will be distributed to other Danish libraries.
The project is spearheaded by First Lady Olena Zelenska, with support from the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. Its goal is to provide educational and literary resources to Ukrainian children who have been displaced.
The Ukrainian Embassy expressed gratitude to Sven Larsen, Director of the Royal Library of Denmark, and his team, as well as to Anna Voloshchenko, Executive Director of the Danish NGO “Hjælp ukrainske børn,” for their role in making this important charity project possible.
