121 fallen soldiers have been repatriated to Ukraine as part of the repatriation process. The bodies of the deceased will be delivered to the respective state institutions, after which their identities will be established.
This was reported by the press service of the Coordination Headquarters for Dealing with Prisoners of War.
In particular, it was possible to repatriate the bodies of 12 defenders who fought on the Luhansk direction, 107 fallen soldiers from the Donetsk direction, and two defenders from the Zaporizhzhia direction.
According to the department, the fallen were returned thanks to the cooperation of a number of state representations and with the assistance of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
It is noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will transport the repatriated bodies and remains to the designated state institutions. Representatives of law enforcement agencies and forensic experts will identify the identities of the deceased.
"After the identification of the bodies of our Defenders, they will be handed over to the families for a dignified burial," the statement said.
