This was reported on September 19 by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In connection with the significant shortage of both human and material resources, the Russian occupiers continue to resort to non-standard ways of replenishing them. For example, 400 people in prison serving sentences for criminal offenses were sent from the Russian city of Tambov to strengthen units fighting in Ukraine.

Also, in the Krasnodar region, public organizations of "Afghan soldiers" received the task of collecting money from the local population to purchase warm clothes for the regional volunteer battalion.

  • Recall, that the Institute for the Study of War reported that Russian troops are trying to "implement a controlled withdrawal" in the Kherson region.
