Thanks to the Brave1 defense cluster, Vidar Systems, a defense tech developer of an acoustic system that detects artillery and mortar firing positions, has raised $450,000 from investors and the Czech venture fund Presto Ventures.
This was announced by Vice Prime Minister for Innovations, Education, Science, and Technology Development and Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, on Telegram.
“The Vidar Systems acoustic system detects artillery and mortar firing positions. Through Brave1, the technology developers raised $450,000 from angel investors and the Czech venture fund Presto Ventures,” he said.
Fedorov emphasized that the Brave1 defense cluster regularly presents Ukrainian defense tech companies to investors and assists them in understanding how the market operates, enabling businesses to identify promising technologies for investment.
According to Fedorov, Vidar Systems is now planning to use the $450,000 to expand its team and scale the product, aiming to make it even more user-friendly for combat conditions.
