Ukrainian military personnel conducted maritime operations using the DELTA combat management system during NATO's international REPMUS 2026 exercises, according to Ukraine's Ministry of Defence.

"All assets transmitting data in accordance with NATO standards were successfully integrated into the system, including aerial, surface and underwater unmanned systems, as well as radars. This once again confirmed DELTA's interoperability with Alliance systems and brought Ukrainian solutions closer to NATO standardisation," the ministry said.

REPMUS (Robotic Experimentation and Prototyping with Maritime Unmanned Systems) is an annual NATO exercise led by the Portuguese Navy. Ukraine participated in the exercises for the third time this year.

"During the exercises, partners and allies practise the joint deployment of unmanned maritime, aerial and underwater systems and test their interoperability within multinational forces. This is the largest international event dedicated to the use of unmanned systems in maritime operations. The Ukrainian team, comprising personnel from different branches of the Armed Forces, coordinated its activities through the DELTA combat management system," the ministry explained.

At REPMUS 2026, Ukrainian specialists worked alongside allied forces on reconnaissance, maritime surveillance, manoeuvring, tracking exercises and simulated strikes.

Ukrainian military personnel also shared their combat experience with international partners, particularly regarding the use of unmanned systems in maritime operations.

All systems transmitting telemetry in accordance with NATO's STANAG 4817 standard were successfully integrated into DELTA.

Last year, DELTA served as the primary command-and-control platform during REPMUS 2025, integrating more than 100 unmanned systems operating across different domains.

Following this year's exercises, the Ukrainian team highlighted DELTA's uninterrupted performance under unstable communications conditions, as well as the convenience of video streaming through its Vezha module compared with other platforms.

"Ukraine will continue sharing its combat experience in the use of unmanned systems and developing interoperability with NATO member states' forces," the Ministry of Defence emphasised.
