The team of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, jointly with partners, is launching a large-scale project to support Ukrainian schoolchildren. As part of the initiative, schools destroyed by hostilities will receive 5,000 Apple iPads to help children continue their education.
Educational initiatives are one of the priorities of the Ministry of Digital Transformation. Our team regularly launches projects that allow children not to interrupt the educational process even during a full-scale war. Now, together with partners, we are implementing a new project to provide 12 educational institutions with 5,000 Apple iPads.
âDigitalization of education and technological solutions help to continue the educational process even despite a full-scale war. We need to compete in the world, and thus develop education. We have no other option but to follow the path of development â to fight for human capital, for innovation, for the most comfortable country in the world,â said Deputy Prime Minister â Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.
In total, about 350 schools in Ukraine are awaiting help, having been partially or completely destroyed as a result of the full-scale invasion. On December 23, 451 schoolchildren in Bucha district of Kyiv region have already received modern devices with a set of educational programs.
This will enable students to obtain modern and quality education from any corner of Ukraine. Besides, Ukrainian teachers were trained by certified Apple trainers on how to integrate the new equipment into the educational process.
Implementation of the project became possible due to synergy of efforts and capacities of partners: an international company ASBISc Enterprises, Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovation, Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, 7Fields NGO.
