Since February 2022, 744 enterprises have left the Mykolaiv region, with over 1,000 more ceasing operations. This was reported by the press service of the Verkhovna Rada Office following the results of an onsite meeting of the Working Group on Industrial Park Development under the Committee on Economic Development, held in the Mykolaiv region.
Meanwhile, in the second quarter of 2024, for the first time since the large-scale invasion, the number of newly registered enterprises in the region (118) exceeded those that had left or closed down (81).
Additionally, the Mykolaiv region is preparing for the registration of two industrial parks: the private "Techno Park Voznesensk" (which has the most developed infrastructure, with 10 MW of electricity supplied, gas and water supply, and a nearby customs post) and the municipal "Mykolaiv".
Project proposals for the creation of industrial parks were also presented by the villages of Novofedorivka (Kobleve TG), Nova Odesa, Bashtanka, and Berezky.
"To strengthen this positive trend, several times during the meeting, the initiative was raised to develop enhanced state incentives for industrial parks located in the regions near the front lines," the statement said.
As previously reported, Vitaliy Kim, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, stated at the end of 2023 that since the beginning of the major war, industrial production volumes in Mykolaiv region had decreased fivefold.
