A delegation of the French Armed Forces visited Ukraine to deepen cooperation, exchange experiences, and increase military assistance, as reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Ground Forces on Facebook.
"The delegation of the French Armed Forces, led by the Commander of the Ground Forces, General Pierre Schill, visited Ukraine to deepen cooperation, exchange experiences, and increase military assistance," the statement said.
During the several-day visit, representatives of the French Armed Forces visited the National Academy of the Ground Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny, one of the unit training centers, the command post, and the anti-aircraft defense control point.
As part of the visit, a bilateral meeting was held, during which the Commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, Major General Mykhailo Drapatyi, thanked the French side for their systematic support and outlined areas for enhancing cooperation.
In turn, the Commander of the French Ground Forces expressed a desire to increase cooperation with the Unit Training Center, particularly in the field of studying the experience of training UAV operators. In general, representatives of the French Republic noted the high level of readiness and the creative approaches of the Ukrainian soldiers in carrying out combat tasks.
Additionally, the delegation of the French Armed Forces paid tribute to the fallen Ukrainian soldiers by laying flowers at the "Wall of Remembrance" at Mykhailivska Square in Kyiv and at the Alley of Glory of the National Academy of the Ground Forces in Lviv.
