A drone attacked an oil depot in the Tambov region of Russia. A fire broke out at the scene. The governor mentioned the possibility of evacuating the population.
This information was reported by RIA Novosti and Shot.
"A fire broke out at an oil depot in the Tambov region due to a drone attack, the governor reported. The blaze has already been contained, and there are no casualties," RIA Novosti wrote.
This may be the first instance where Russians acknowledged an attack rather than claiming damage from debris of their own drone shot down by their air defense systems.
According to Shot, the Ukrainian UAV "exploded on the company's premises" at around 4:35 AM.
The head of the region, Maxim Yegorov, stated that the nearest settlement is 3 kilometers away, and "if necessary, evacuation of residents will be conducted, everything is prepared for this."
Recently, Ukraine has regularly targeted Russian oil refineries.
