British-Ukrainian company United Heroes will produce a film based on the book "Live. Fight. Survive." by British military serviceman Sean Pinner, who was held in Russian captivity, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

The film will tell the story of Sean Pinner, a 48-year-old British sniper-instructor. Pinner served with the 36th Marine Infantry Brigade from 2018. In 2022, he was captured in Mariupol by Russian forces and sentenced to execution in the Donetsk People's Republic.

"At first, I aimed to tell about the torture of Ukrainian prisoners and how they are treated," said the book's author.

Pinner hopes his story will provide understanding of what is truly happening in Ukraine "through direct experience and firsthand accounts."

The working title of the film is "English Warrior." The screenplay is penned by Tom Hardy's father, screenwriter Edward "Chips" Hardy. Producers include United Heroes co-founder and creator of the animated film "Mavka: The Forest Song" Yegor Olesov, Swiss producer Johannes Boesiger, and line producer Alexa Vo.
