The joint project of Ukrainian and American defense companies, MITS Accelerator, has launched a programme to support Ukrainian defense startups.

The main goal of the MITS programme is to help young technology companies find optimal partners and expand their activities. At the same time, the programme will ensure the accelerated deployment of new technological products in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The accelerator provides startups with support amounting to $200,000, of which $100,000 is direct investment in the company, and the remaining $100,000 is expertise conducted jointly with the American University in Kyiv.
The support programme is divided into acceleration and post-acceleration support, each lasting three months. Additionally, within the programme, an educational programme has been developed in collaboration with the American University in Kyiv, covering theoretical and practical components.
The main goal of the educational programme is to help companies expand their activities and establish partnership relations.
MITS will provide assistance to startups working in various categories, including:
- Ground robotic systems
- Unmanned aerial vehicles
- Unmanned ground vehicles
- Unmanned underwater vehicles
- Electronic warfare equipment
- Communication, optical, and acoustic reconnaissance tools
- Military transport
- Demining
- Software and IT
- Ammunition
- Equipment for the “soldier of the future”
Startup teams can apply to participate in the acceleration programme from February 23rd to March 14th, 2024, by filling out the form on the MITS website.
This collaboration between Ukrainian and American organizations is a significant step towards the development of innovation and technological progress in the defense sector.
By supporting startups and facilitating their integration into the defense supply chain, MITS aims to enhance Ukraine's defense capabilities while promoting international cooperation and knowledge exchange.
