Because of this, power outages for the public may become longer.

After the massive missile attack on January 14, the electricity shortage increased, so the duration of consumer blackouts may increase. This was reported by the press service of "Ukrenergo".

"Yesterday, the enemy tried to target blocks of thermal power plants. Due to equipment damage, they stopped or reduced power generation, and the deficit in the power system increased. This forced the consumption limits to be slightly reduced, proportionately for all areas," the message reads.

Energy experts note that repair work is currently underway at all damaged facilities after Russia's twelfth missile strike. Restrictions on consumption will be in effect throughout the day, January 15, and emergency shutdowns will be applied if exceeding them.

On January 14, Russia launched a missile attack on Ukraine. A Russian missile hit a residential building in Dnipro. As a result, 20 people died, and about seventy were injured.
