The National Guard reported that not all civilians were able to leave Azovstal on May 1 and are still in the plant's bunkers.
Immediately after the evacuation of civilians, the Russian occupiers resumed shelling of the Azovstal plant in Mariupol. The invaders adhered to a ceasefire for two days before the evacuation.
This was stated by the commander of the 12th Brigade of Operational Assignment of the National Guard Denis Schlega on the air of the national telethon.
The Russians are currently shelling the plant with various weapons.
According to him, several hundred more civilians remained in Azovstal's bunkers, including about twenty children.
We also really want our wounded, who currently number about 500 people, to leave the territory of Azovstal. We want our dead guys to be taken away from Azovstal. This is also a huge number
Denis Schlega
It will be recalled that on Sunday, May 1, the evacuation of people from Azovstal was launched. The first evacuees will arrive in Zaporizhia on the morning of May 2.
