Air defense downs 82 of 108 Russian drones launched overnight

During the night of June 29 (from 6:00 p.m. on June 28), Russian forces launched an attack using 108 strike UAVs, including Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas drones, as well as Parodiya decoy drones. The drones were launched from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), the occupied Donetsk region, and Chauda and Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

The aerial assault was repelled by fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 8:00 a.m., Ukraine's air defense had shot down or suppressed 82 Russian UAVs, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of drones, over the northern, southern, and eastern parts of the country.

Hits by 25 strike drones were recorded at 11 locations. In addition, debris from intercepted drones fell at four locations.
