On the night of May 22, 2024, the enemy attacked with 24 strike UAVs of the Shahed-131/136 type. Launches were carried out from the areas of Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk - Russia, and the territory of occupied Crimea.
This was announced on Telegram by the Commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleschuk.
"As a result of the air battle, the Ukrainian Defense Forces managed to shoot down all 24 'Shaheds'," the report states.
The nightly attack was repelled by mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, radio-electronic warfare units, anti-aircraft missile units, and fighter aviation of the Air Force.
The strike UAVs were destroyed in the Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Sumy, and Odessa regions.
