On the night of June 9 (starting at 6:30 p.m. on June 8), the Russian forces attacked with two Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles from Russia’s Voronezh region and 166 strike UAVs, including Shahed drones (among them jet-powered variants), Gerbera and Italmas drones, Banderol loitering munitions, and Parodiya decoy drones. The drones were launched from the directions of Oryol, Kursk, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Millerovo in Russia, as well as from occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, Ukraine’s air defense had shot down or suppressed 146 UAVs, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of drones.

Hits by two guided air-launched missiles and 17 strike UAVs were recorded at 18 locations. In addition, debris from intercepted aerial targets fell at eight locations.
