In Ukraine, the combat operation of air defense systems and the process of receiving anti-aircraft missile systems will not be made public, the command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported, addressing representatives of Ukrainian and foreign mass media.
"Covering of the combat work of air defense of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not foreseen. This also applies to the process of the arrival of the IRIS-T and NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems in Ukraine and their combat operation," the message reads.
The day before, after talks with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Kyiv, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed hope for receiving several more IRIS-T systems from Berlin in the near future.
