All children have been evacuated from 90 settlements in border communities of Sumy region, according to a statement by the Sumy Regional Military Administration (RMA) on Facebook.

"This was a critical mission for us—to save the lives of children from the border areas. As of today, 777 children have been evacuated from the most dangerous territories of our region as part of the mandatory evacuation," said Volodymyr Artiukh, head of Sumy RMA.

He noted that evacuation efforts for border residents are ongoing.

"Transit centers have been set up in the region to provide evacuees with financial and humanitarian assistance. Additionally, a database of 200 homes in rear communities of Sumy region has been created for those relocating from the border areas.

Moreover, over 3,000 places have been arranged in central and western regions of Ukraine to accommodate evacuees from dangerous areas of Sumy region.

"However, I always emphasize that most people remain within Sumy region, and we continue to support them here. International organizations are also helping by constructing housing for displaced persons, and soon, we will open about 100 more such homes," Artiukh added.
