American folk-noise artist Emperor X is embarking on a charity tour in cities across Ukraine. He will be sharing the stage with the Ukrainian emo band Re-read. All proceeds from the tour will go to support the Musicians Defend Ukraine fund.
The first concert featuring Emperor X and Re-read will take place on October 14th in Lviv.
Emperor X is the solo project of musician Chad Matheny. In 2020, he, along with Christian Holden from the American emo-rock band The Hotelier, founded the independent music label Dreams Of Field Recordings. He has been actively supporting Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war.
The tour across Ukrainian cities will also feature the Ukrainian band Re-read, for whom this tour will be their debut. During the tour, the musicians will present tracks from their upcoming debut album. Re-read is known for playing emotional, energetic, and simultaneously melancholic emo-rock.
