The joint-stock company "Ukrainian Defense Industry" has reached agreements for cooperation with four Western arms manufacturers. This took place during the second International Defense Industries Forum, which was attended by representatives of about 300 companies from over 30 countries.
Ukraine is gradually becoming one of the world's leading arms manufacturers, with its defense industry developing rapidly. In the first half of this year, Ukrainian arms producers manufactured 25 times more artillery and mortar ammunition than during all of 2022. Drone production capabilities now reach 4 million units, with more than 1.5 million already contracted.
"Thanks to the defense industries, Ukraine is set to become one of the key global security donors and a very strong player in the global weapons and defense technologies market. Everyone who stands with us, who stands with Ukraine, will surely win," said President Volodymyr Zelensky.
At the forum, Ukroboronprom signed partnership agreements with arms companies from the United States, France, and Poland. These agreements involve cooperation in the areas of ammunition, special chemicals, unmanned systems, and electronic intelligence and warfare.
"We will now work to ensure that these signed agreements transform into real Ukrainian weapons, cutting-edge military technologies, strikes against our shared enemy, and ultimately, victory," said Ukraine's Minister for Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin.
