In Paris, at the Centre culturel de l'ambassade d'Ukraine, the FENÊTRE ("Window") exhibition featuring works by Ukrainian artists was presented.
Curator of the exhibition, Khrystyna Berehovska, informed Ukrinform about it.
According to her, the exhibition consists of 56 works, including paintings, graphics, photography, sculpture, and jewelry. In total, works by 24 authors are presented.
"The concept of 'window' is depicted in several symbolic forms at the exhibition. It includes the lonely surviving panes of glass from Mariupol's high-rises, through which their residents will never look again. The window serves as a pink glass, through which a child gazes... It is a mirror of the soul, a 'ceiling of dreams' that we will never reach. The window acts as a third eye, opened to every Ukrainian who, despite the 'wind,' stands firm in this struggle at home or those trying to live on foreign soil," Berehovska explained the meanings of the exhibition.
The exhibition was presented at the Centre culturel de l'ambassade d'Ukraine, formerly inhabited by the star couple Alain Delon and Romy Schneider, as part of the "We and the World" project by the Kozitsky Charity Foundation. The opening was attended by art enthusiasts, diplomats, gallery owners, art dealers, reporters, and artists.
The exhibition will run until April 24.
