A total of 21 countries have already joined the PURL programme, with total commitments amounting to $4.18 billion.

This was reported by Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on Facebook.

“Currently, 21 countries are participating in PURL, with total commitments of $4.18 billion,” the head of Ukrainian diplomacy said.

He noted that a recent visit to NATO headquarters alone brought nearly $1 billion in additional contributions to PURL. This included five new participating countries and eight additional contributions from states that were already supporting the program. For the first time, PURL’s participant circle was expanded beyond the Alliance with the inclusion of Australia and New Zealand.

Sybiha thanked each of the participating countries for their support of Ukraine.

PURL (Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List) is an initiative launched by the United States and NATO aimed at supplying Ukraine with critical weapons by funding the procurement of U.S.-made arms and equipment. The mechanism allows partner countries to finance the purchase of such weaponry according to a priority list of needs defined by Ukraine and approved by the U.S. and NATO.

The initiative enables coordinated contributions so that funding is targeted and rapid. Instead of fragmented purchases, each country provides a financial contribution to a joint package, which the U.S. then uses to deliver weapons and essential equipment.
