Today, on the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, another group of Ukrainian defenders has been released from Russian captivity.

According to the agreements reached in Istanbul, soldiers under 25 years old, as well as seriously ill and severely wounded, are being returned.

The youngest among those freed today is 24 years old. He was captured at the age of 21 during the defense of Mariupol.

Most of the released have spent over three years in captivity, including National Guard members who guarded the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, as well as defenders of Mariupol.

"We continue our work. We expect good news soon. We fight to bring back every single one," wrote Kyrylo Budanov, the head of the Ukrainian Intelligence Agency.
