The third cohort of pilots from the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has completed training in the UK. The graduation ceremony took place at the Royal Air Force base in Cranwell.
This was reported by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the UK, Valerii Zaluzhnyi.
"Together with the UK Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Armed Forces, Luke Pollard, I participated in the graduation ceremony of the 3rd cohort of pilots of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which took place at the Royal Air Force base in Cranwell," wrote the ambassador. According to Zaluzhnyi, the pilots will soon go into combat.
In August 2024, it became known that Ukraine received its first F-16 fighters from its international allies. However, as noted by the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, this will not significantly affect the situation at the front. Today, Kyiv is also expecting further deliveries of aircraft.
