Ukrainian publishing house CANactions has released the book Architecture After the War in collaboration with UK publisher MACK, announced by CANactions co-founder Olena Voznyak.

The idea for the book emerged in the early months of the full-scale war, aiming to serve as a "pragmatic guide for shaping the future of Ukrainian cities" and a resource for architects and planners. The book is published in both Ukrainian and English.

The collection includes essays on post-war reconstruction, featuring historical examples and geographical contexts to navigate the challenges and opportunities of rebuilding. Contributing authors include prominent international scholars such as:

  • Lynnette Widder, professor at Columbia University
  • Patrick Zamarian, lecturer at Liverpool School of Architecture
  • Andrea Flores Urushima from Kyoto University
  • And several other experts

With a foreword by Bohdan Kryzhanovsky, the book explores topics like urban planning, education, building materials, and innovative spatial relationships, focusing on the human experience in post-war environments.

The e-book is available on Apple Books and Kindle, while a limited number of print copies can be ordered via a provided link.
