"The global war unfolding before our eyes has its roots in a significant civil war in which the future's shape and path to it are determined." This was written by Alexey Arestovich in his Telegram blog.

"Two opposing forces are fighting, driven by contrasting ideas: on one side, they want fear and control to dominate the world, and on the other side, there's a desire for freedom.

President Biden reminded fellow citizens and the world of America's beginnings and what Americans have put at key junctures in their history – freedom.

Democratic countries rally around this idea, while those who favor fear and control have long been waging war against them: China, North Korea, Iran, Russia, Syria, and others.

The main front runs not even between countries and armed forces of states, but the battlefield is in the minds and hearts of the Earth's inhabitants.

States are directed by political elites who make bets on the first or second, joining one coalition or another.

States unite based on the prevailing values within their governing elites.

There's no other explanation for the Axis of Evil alliance. They all have different economies, cultures, dominant religions, but share the same values.

This doesn't mean that all citizens and even politicians from the tyranny side are for fear and control, and those from the democratic side are for freedom.

Both systems have plenty of exceptions.

In every country, there's a little civil war along these lines.

At this juncture in the historical path of civilizations, we find ourselves on the side of those fighting for freedom. However, it's not enough to declare principles; they must be continually reaffirmed in practice."
