On Monday, March 14, it became known that the Ukrainian army continues to hold the line in the Lugansk region. The Armed Forces of Ukraine wrote about this on the Telegram page.
The report says that mass shelling continues from the side of the enemy. The head of the Lugansk regional military administration, Serhiy Gaidai, during the broadcast of the telethon, noted that the front line, which the Armed Forces of Ukraine occupied, is kept within the same limits as it was, but the invaders are shelling the entire front line:
"There is no such settlement where there were no shelling. From morning till night they shoot at Popasna, Rubizhne, Severodonetsk, Lisichansk, Kremennaya, mostly at residential areas, schools, critical infrastructure â water, gas, electricity.â
Also, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that due to the shelling of the Lugansk region by Russian invaders, private residential buildings were destroyed, and there were unexploded shells on the streets.
"Residents of the Lugansk region do not have the opportunity to buy water, food; some do not have electricity and communications. Residents are forced to hide in basements constantly. Military aggressors shell the streets, not allowing them to leave the shelter. The occupiers purposefully shell the cities and villages of the Luhansk region, which Unfortunately, there are dead and injured among the civilian population," the statement said.
The units of the State Emergency Service added that now the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the police, local authorities, doctors, volunteers and rescuers of the State Emergency Service of the Lugansk region are working "on the verge of human capabilities."
