At The Khanenko Museum, the exhibition 'Before the Future' has been inaugurated, featuring exhibits from the Ukrainian Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale.
The Venice Architecture Biennale with the theme 'Laboratory of the Future' took place from the end of May to the end of November 2023. Ukraine participated for the first time since 2014, with 35 participants from the fields of architecture, art, and science creating five thematic exhibitions. The co-curators were the co-founders of the 'Forma' bureau, Oleksiy Petrov and Iryna Miroshnykova, along with art critic and director of IST Publishing, Boris Filonenko.
The exhibition's title, 'Before the Future,' is based on the idea of the future as a time after the end of the war, as explained by the curatorial team. The exposition encompasses five themes and vectors of work: reconstruction, commemoration, education, ecology, and the future.
The exhibition will run until January 7, 2024, at 15-17 Tereshchenska Street. Visitors can explore the exhibit from 10:00 to 18:00 daily, except for Mondays and Tuesdays. Admission is 50 hryvnias, and tickets can be purchased online or at the museum's ticket office.
