On November 9, 2023, at the Sotheby's auction, the landscape painting "Here Stopped Time" by artist Ivan Marchuk was sold for over 76,000 euros.
The painting, created in 1982, was previously part of a collection in the United States. The current owner of the artwork is not disclosed.

"I hope my 'child' has a happy fate," added the artist.
Ivan Marchuk is a laureate of the National Shevchenko Prize of Ukraine and a member of the scientific council of the International Academy of Contemporary Art in Rome. He has created about 5,000 works and held over 150 solo and about 50 group exhibitions.

In 2007, the artist was included in the ranking of "100 Geniuses of Our Time" by the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph.
In 2021, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on the creation of the Ivan Marchuk Museum and Cultural Center for Contemporary Art.
