Athletes of the Odessa Regional Karate Federation won two medals at The Karate Junior, Cadet & U21 European Championships 2021, which took place in Tempere, Finland. They won silver medals in junior competitions.


On the first day, Yaroslav Fedotov, a student of Katana Port Chernomorsk (coaches: Oleksandr Tonkoshkur, Oleksiy Konovalov) became the silver medalist of the kata competition. Ariadna Panchuk, a 17-year-old student of Tigryonok Sports Complex (53 kg, coaches: Ihor Negatirov, Dmytro Negaturov, Oleksandr Negaturov) climbed to the second step of the pedestal.

On the way to the final Ariadna defeated Shir Yahav from Israel (5:0), Elena Tsilia from Greece (1:0), Amel Bugrine from Belgium (5:0), and in the decisive match with a minimum score she lost to German Mia Bitsch (0:1). Mia Bitsch of Germany is the younger sister of top-ranked karateka Noah and Jana Bitsch continued the family tradition and became the continental champion in Junior Female Kumite -53kg.
